Each beacon is programmed with a unique ID. Part of the ID is the Country Code which relates to the database where the registration information is stored. This Country Code should be the same as the Flag State of the vessel. If you have a beacon where this is not the case you should get it reprogrammed. Most countries will not allow a beacon to be registered to a vessel where the Country Code and Flag State do not match.
