30 Meter - 100 Foot Bluewater Throw Bag

We make these 30 meter (100 foot) bluewater throw bags using Sterling Rope's 5/16" WaterLine™ and 1000d Cordura material for the bag. Throw bags are an essential part of any vessel's safety kit. They provide an effective method to get a line to a victim who has fallen overboard.

For 2015 we have redesigned the bag to include features that make "restuffing" the rope easier. The bag is shaped like an inverted cone or "cornet" and also has webbing sewn around the circumference to help hold the bag open while restuffing.

The 30 meter length meets both the ISAF sailing requirement 4.24 and Canadian Coast Guard specifications for vessels over 24 meters (78'9") in length.

Sterling's waterline has a bright yellow polypropylene sheath for high visibility and a nylon core for strength. Its supple nature makes for easy stuffing and quick deployment. The minimum breaking strength is 1596 pounds.
