Offshore Life Rafts for Recreational Vessels
We offer rafts manufactured by Sea-Safe, Switlik, Winslow and Zodiac. Each has a niche in our lineup. If you want the best raft and are going to be placing it in a hard container on deck, look at Switlik. Their rafts are extremely rugged and have strong hand laid fiberglass containers. Are weight and size an issue and you are looking for a quality raft in a soft valise for stowing below deck or in a locker, then Winslow should be the first brand to explore. Finally if container size or price are an issue, look at Zodiac who offers the smallest containers (though not the strongest) and a raft that is economical to purchase and maintain. Zodiac's containers can also be mounted on their side or end which might help your space issue.
Some of our rafts are marked as meeting ISO 9650 or being ISAF compliant. These can be used for offshore sailboat racing in addition to being great rafts for cruising yachtsmen. If we have not noted that a raft meets either of these two specifications, with some exceptions for large commercial rafts, they will not meet the offshore sailing requirements.
