Coastal Life Rafts for Recreational Vessels

Coastal life rafts are designed for use in waters within 20 miles from shore or in heavily traveled waterways. These rafts differ from true offshore rafts in several ways: less redundancy in the inflation system, lack of boarding platforms for ease of entry from the water, minimal equipment pack and less automatically activated lighting. On the positive side they usually pack into smaller hard containers or soft valises and they weigh less. They are also less expensive than offshore life rafts.

We sell and service coastal life rafts manufactured by Winslow and Zodiac. Winslow's raft is a single buoyancy tube divided into two independent air chambers while Zodiac use two buoyancy tubes. Winslow produces a smaller and lighter raft than either of the offerings from Zodiac.
